Hello!
Warts are benign growths of the skin which are caused by Human Papilloma Viruses (HPV). They usually spread from person to person by direct contact or through contact with an affected object. There are usually 5 different types (common warts, plantar warts, flat warts, filiform warts & periungual warts). Children, teenagers and people with a weakened immune system are prone to warts.
The treatment for warts is most of the times topical application of over- the- counter preparations containing salicylic acid. If the condition is severe then advanced techniques are used like the CO2 laser, cryotherapy, laser therapy, heat therapy, radio frequency treatments or surgery.
Flat warts often occur on forehead and cheeks. They are also referred to as juvenile warts since children are more likely to be infected than adults.
NEODERMA strongly advises that wart diagnosis and treatment should be made exclusively by a dermatologist via clinical examination and visual inspection. Our products efficacy have not been tested on such skin pathology.
Thank you!
